CAS Watercolour Challenge

Good morning...
I have a card I did for The CAS watercolour Challenge to share...

Using smooshed distress inks

And a very old TH stamp. I really like these colours together - Peeled Paint and Faded Jeans

I'm just not sure that it's CAS enough, but you know what it's like with smooshing, you kinda get carried away

It's wet and miserable outside, hubby is off to the match this afternoon and Ginger cat is in favour of curling up on the sofa... Maybe not a bad idea.
Have yourselves a great weekend
Till soon

The Other Half

Hi there...

I've been racking my brains trying to come up with a card for hubby's birthday next week ...
Being as he loves golf and football, the cards he usually gets tend to feature either one of these so I always do something different, and this is definitely different!

I decided to use the other half of the doll stamp that I used in my previous post

And I couldn't leave Ginger cat out could I? Lol!

I just know he will love this card and it's not as boring as a golf card is it

Now if only I had legs as long and slim as that ...sigh

My crafting head is slowly coming together again, the problem is that I can't lift, stretch or bend and in my craft room not at lot is at eye level, but I'm getting there.

Enjoy your day

Birthday Girl

Good Morning and welcome to February!

I know I'm a little late, I'm still trying to taking things easy but I get impatient. Some days I feel I've taken one step forward and 2 steps back...
I managed a little crafting with Pat last week and I've done nothing since. Between you and me, hubby took charge of my meds... I wrote out a chart for him so he knew what I had to take and when, but he gave me the wrong tablets a few times and it didn't help I can tell you....

I need a couple of birthday cards this month, one for hubby and one for my SIL but so far I have only done my SIL's card

I used a Julie Nutting Doll stamp gifted to me by my lovely friend Diane a few years ago, coloured her with copics and cut her out... I also stamped her tiara and bow onto glitter card and added them separately

The doll stamps are quite big so I only used part of the stamp and added some ink blending and splatters to the BG. I though a few balloons would be fun, like she was holding them behind her so again I used my inks to blend onto vellum before die cutting the balloons

...And I used a left over piece of the vellum to stamp my sentiment on.
My SIL loves red dresses so I hope she will like this

I hope you are all keeping well, it's still a struggle to sit for any length of time at the computer but I hope to get around to visiting you all soon...

Have a beautiful day

Sympathy Card

Well it seems my package (yesterday's post) was from a dear blog friend and I am so sad that it got trashed... At least I know now and quite honestly, I somehow wished I didn't know what happened to it... sigh
But on to something else...

I'm not quite back into crafting, seems even the Big Shot is an effort to move and I'm struggling to recall where some things are... I hope that passes soon. Anyway, sadly I had to put together a card for a friend of my husband's from his golf club. Such a sweet guy, and sadly his son took his own life a few days ago. Such a terrible tragedy and there are no words of comfort I can offer but at least I can send a card

A BG image stamped in iced spruce distress ink and my faithful sprigs die

One of the sprigs was cut from a piece of CS that I smooshed with Versaark and then sprinkled on my mix of silver and gold EB powder and heat set. I also smooshed a strip with Iced Spruced distress ink to stamp and emboss the sentiment

Till soon my friends... Be safe

An Unusual Request

Good afternoon everyone...
This is quite an unusual request but I need your help... As you know I have received many cards and gifts over the past few weeks for both my birthday and following my operation.
Today it came to light that last week our mail man put a package for me in our bin as he didn't get an answer from our door. A strange thing as we were all in the house and even so, we have a postbox on the side of our house.
Well, the thing is , the bin collectors came that same morning and the package would have been  taken away with the trash...
As none of us had ordered anything, or were expecting a delivery, we can only guess that someone sent me a package as a surprise so I am checking to see if any of you lovely blog friends did send something that I haven't as yet acknowledged?
I'm so upset that this happened but I would be really grateful is any of you sent something and could email me or contact me to let me know....
Many thanks

I'm Back...

I'm so happy to finally be able post today ...
Thank you so much for all your cards, emails and well wishes... My surgery is over and so far it has been a great success. I no longer have that debilitating leg pain and joint pains and I am completely mobile. In fact I was walking up and down the stairs the day after my surgery.
Mikey and Ian have been terrific, I was in theatre and recovery for a total of 7 hours so it was a great relief for them to see me for a brief time before they had to leave. It wasn't all plain sailing but I got to go home 3 days later and boy, was I glad to be home. Ginger cat licked my face all over and never left my side for the following few days.
I'm not going to say that I am totally pain free, everything needs to settle over time but I am so grateful for the skill of the surgeon and to be on the road to recovery at long last. I have a diary full of hospital appointments along with some physiotherapy so I am being well monitored.

I do have a little card to share with you ... A friend of mine underwent surgery some months ago and having lost her legs many years ago to meningitis, recovery is always a long process for her. She doesn't have the same circulation as people with limbs plus she encountered some organ damage at the same time she lost her legs making it even harder so this is a card I made for her

She is the most amazing lady and a doctor too and I can't wait until we are able to see each other  again

I used a stencil for the BG and a mix of different stamps plus a cloud border.

Pat is popping over shortly so I'll say bye bye for now and hope to visit you all soon ... I'm really looking forward to seeing what I've missed!

Take care my friends and have a beautiful day
