Autumnal Colours

Hello... It's good to be back

My Aunt arrived last Friday (finally) and left yesterday... She looked amazing and was just her old self, not quite what I expected really considering her recent health issues but she was as fiesty as ever and somehow still defying the ageing process
We viewed a number of properties whilst she was here with the view to her moving nearer the family, but suffice to say nothing pleased her and I can't see anything changing in the future... 'Nuff said.

I have a little card to share that I made last week whilst I was with Pat... I'm squeezing into the challenge at AAA Cards before it closes...

I smooshed cardstock with various distress inks and then die cut the leaves... then I did some dry embossing with the same die over the leaves

The Eiffel tower die was cut both in CS and in foam to give it dimension and then I applied Versamark all over the die cut and embossed it with a mix of silver and gold embossing powders.

The sentiment was stamped and embossed to match...

I just love the colours of Autumn... I desperately try to hold on to our brief summers here in the UK but the golds, reds and yellows of Autumn are a beautiful distraction from the inevitable winter weather that seems to last forever and sneaks in unannounced, so quickly.
Did I tell you that our hedgehogs have been visiting regularly every evening? We feed them and it's good to see them so plump before they hibernate and boy can they run!

Have a beautiful day and I'll catch you soon

Beautiful autumn colors and love the embossing, well you know I love, love the 'magic' of embossing, I use it a ton now! It sounds like your weather is mostly like Michigan, short summers and LONG winters and they say we are in for a big winter this this, so am stocking up (on craft supplies...lol)! Have a nice day my friend!

So glad your Aunt came to visit and she is well. What a clean and crisp card Ros. Just love the colours of the die cut leaves and the dry embossing and boy do they look good with the silver and gold of the tower. Yes trying to hold onto the Summer my end too....but at least we have the glorious colours of Autumn to look forward too x

You amaze me every time! You've got the CAS thing down pat. Always with a beautiful design yet not overdone. How I love your style! The colors on those leaves are gorgeous! However it works out with your aunt I hope it's all for the best. She has tough decisions to make. I'm glad to hear she's all perked up!

CAS with a colourful touch; I love it. I never would have thought of the idea of mixing silver and gold embossing powder. A brilliant idea!

Besides being busy you also had a lovely time with your aunt. Am I right when I say that moving to Liverpool is no longer an option for your aunt?

Have a lovely evening; time to relax after these busy days!

Oh, there are hedgehogs in your garden? How cute! And your card is stunning! I love the colors of fall, too - I guess that's why I love pumpkins so much. Good to know your Aunt is doing well... and if she didn't find a place that pleased her, then so be it. You did all you could.

Oh, such a gorgeous card with the stunning Eiffel Tower, Ros! Love the beautiful color on the leaves, too! What a sweetheart you are to help you with you Aunt in any way that you can! I'm sure she appreciates it! It's finally cooling down once again here. We had some very humid weather in the 90's. Just didn't seem right for late September here. Looking forward to seeing the change in color of the leaves!

Such a beautiful autumn CAS card, Ros! The ink smooshed colors are so perfect for the leaves, and the dry embossing makes a big difference. I love the color of embossing powders (mix of gold & silver) too. It has warmth, and not too flashy. Hideko

Well, it's good your aunt is doing so well, but frustrating she can't see to move closer. You're a sweet niece to do so much for her & I know you wouldn't have it any other way. Oh my gosh--a stunningly gorgeous card, Ros--absolutely love the leaves & so unique using them with the tower! Big hugs, Greta
